The Course
The duration of B.Ed program is two academic years consisting of four semesters. The academic year shall commence from July 1st of every year. Each semester is roughly of 6 months duration including regular classes, assignments, practice teaching, and examinations. The program structure is as follows according to university:
Eligibility Criteria
Admission criteria for B.Ed. Programme:
Any candidate who has obtained 50% marks in Bachelor Degree /Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science / Humanities or Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks are eligible for admission in B.Ed Programme.
For admission, the Institution follows the prevalent rules as prescribed by the NCTE Regulations, 2014(published in The Gazette of India: Extraordinary, Part –III, Sec-4, dated 01.12.2014). Mode of 6 admissions is based on the total score obtained from his/her Secondary, H.S, Graduation and Post- Graduation. Relaxation of the percentage of marks for reserved category candidates will be as per State Govt. rules.
The intake capacity is as per NCTE, State Govt. & other statutory bodies.

Scope
The core concept of B Ed course is to prepare effective and prospective trained school teachers for the Govt, private Secondary/ Higher secondary School. Crediting a B.Ed degree makes one eligible for appearing in TET, CTET and secures a job as a teacher in schools.
After passing out, a student can opt for higher studies as Post Graduation in Education and other related fields, also can opt for counselling based training.
This may facilitate for higher studies in Education at state level and national level in terms of post graduation and researches leading to M.Phil / Ph D in Education, encompassing Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Sociology, Educational Administration, educational technology, teaching learning methodology, guidance & counselling, social Science Education, Science Education as areas of Specialisation.
